Nairn Community Transport

Nairn Community Transport is a not-for-profit transport provider for community groups and charities. We have a fleet of three fully accessible minibuses with a 16 passenger+driver capacity.

The minibuses can be hired at £1.00/km for the first 150km, then £0.80/km thereafter. A minimum charge of £20.00 applies per hire, with a minimum average of £100.00 per day for multi-day hires.

Nairn Connects Business Improvement District (BID)

Nairn Connects Business Improvement District (BID) is a membership organisation, voted for in 2018, by the businesses within the Nairn BID area.

The principle aim of Nairn BID is to represent, and work together with local businesses and the community to build upon Nairn’s reputation as a desirable place to work, live, play and do business. To do this, the BID board and staff work together to help Nairn grow, develop and thrive as a vibrant town and a must-visit destination.

Nairn BID runs both the BID website and the tourist facing website www.nairnscotland.co.uk, designed to give visitors to Nairn all the information they need for a great stay in our wee town! #nairnscotland runs across Facebook and Instagram as a place to raise awareness of Nairn – feel free to use it! we also have #scotlandsplayground and #gettoknownairn.

The BID office is open Monday – Friday while the Community & Arts Centre is open, and the Manager is reachable on 07707 873534 – please call first for an appointment. The BID

 AGM is held every year and all members are welcome. 

Nairn Improvement Community Enterprise (NICE)

Nairn Improvement Community Enterprise (NICE) is a community led development trust with over 800 local members in Nairnshire.

NICE was set up  in 2010 to regenerate and improve Nairn and Nairnshire and is a registered charity and Company Limited by Guarantee.

If you’d like to help shape Nairnshire’s future you can become a member too (its free!) by filling n the Join NICE form on their website or ask in the NICE office for a paper form.

In 2024, after a year of public consultation, NICE published the community led Our Nairnshire Local Place Plan. This sets out how local people want to see land and buildings in this place used, conserved and developed over the coming years.
